Advanced Contributor Agreement

(AI / Algorithm / Systems Research)

By contributing to AI Builder Stream, you acknowledge and agree that:

1. Individual Capacity

You participate as an individual, not as a representative of any employer, institution, or organization.

2. No Employment or Partnership

Your participation is voluntary and unpaid unless explicitly agreed in writing. No employment, partnership, joint venture, or agency relationship is created.

3. Original Work and Authority

You confirm that all code, models, algorithms, data, designs, documentation, and research materials you contribute are either your original work or work you are legally entitled to contribute.

4. Background Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of any pre-existing intellectual property developed prior to your participation ("Background IP"). No rights to Background IP are transferred.

5. License to Contributions

You grant the project lead a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, analyze, and integrate your contributions for internal research, evaluation, and future development of AI systems, algorithms, and infrastructure.

6. Derivative Research Rights

You acknowledge that your contributions may be combined with other research outputs to form derivative works, including models, systems, datasets, and technical methods.

7. No Automatic Commercialization

No commercial use, productization, or external licensing of your contributions will occur without separate written agreement.

8. Future Incorporation

You acknowledge that AI Builder Stream may later be incorporated or transferred to a legal entity. In such case, you may be invited, but are not obligated, to assign or license your contributions under updated terms.

9. Confidential Research Materials

Certain research outputs may be designated as confidential. You agree not to disclose such materials without written permission.

10. Compliance with Third-Party Obligations

You are solely responsible for ensuring that your participation does not violate any obligations to employers, universities, funders, or other third parties.

Intellectual Property Statement

Unless explicitly stated otherwise in writing:

  • Intellectual property created by individual contributors remains with the individual author or authors.
  • By contributing, authors grant the project lead a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use contributed materials for internal research, evaluation, and future development.
  • No transfer or assignment of intellectual property is implied.

This initiative may, at a future date, be incorporated or transferred to a legal entity. In such a case, contributors may be invited, but are not obligated, to reassign or license their contributions under new terms.

No commercial use, redistribution, or publication of contributed materials occurs without explicit agreement.
